Iowa accessibility

As the University of Iowa expands its digital presence, ensuring your content is accessible goes beyond just meeting requirements. It’s about building a space where everyone, regardless of ability, can connect and engage with your content.

The U.S. Department of Justice requires that all digital content, including websites and apps, meet accessibility standards under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act by April 24, 2026. How does this affect you? As a member of the university’s web community, it’s your responsibility to ensure that the digital content from your department or unit is accessible. We’ve put together a set of resources to assist you in making that happen.
