Siteimprove is a helpful tool for identifying potential accessibility issues, but automated scans cannot always interpret the full context of a webpage. In some cases, Siteimprove may flag items that appear to be accessibility errors but we believe to be false positives—issues that do not require changes or are already handled correctly. These articles explain some of the common false positives seen on University of Iowa websites, why they appear in Siteimprove reports, and how to determine whether action is needed.
